My Fantastic Weekend With Flipper

In the morning we had doughnuts.Flipper and me decided to play the VR down stairs so we did. Then Bella's new bed came but she wouldn't sleep in it!Then we watched tv for about an hour. Then i had a sleepover with Peter and Grace(my cousins).During our sleepover we made slime and cupcakes! But the slime didn't turn out so good. The next morning we had pancakes and then Peter and Grace left.Flipper,Kate, and me went to subway after we watched a movie. We got home and played the VR.It was time to go to bed before i read for 20 minutes. The next day i was sick:( so for about 5 hours Flipper and I watched tv.Then i took a 2 hour nap (flipper slept for another whole hour!I then watched more tv.My mom took Bella for a walk and i was watching tv and i had a really wiggly tooth and i was eating and i was trying to chew and my tooth started to move and when my mom came back i said"Mom can we pull out my tooth?"So my mom and I went to the upstairs bathroom and we wigged my tooth with my toothbrush and i turned it all the way around but that didn't work.At this point i was tiered of wiggling my tooth so i got a paper towel  this took a lot of times Flipper was saying "COME ON TOOTH COME OUT!!!"and i got my tooth and pulled it out."FINALLY"I yelled "I'M FREE!!!!!!"now i went down stairs and asked" Can we get chines food now?"So my mom ordered food we ate and ate and ate. I was tired so i decided to read a little. Now i went to bed.But before we washed Flipper. Now we went to bed.The next morning i packed up with Flipper and we went to school!

To celebrate 19 days left we created a batch of slime!
We watched science in action and learned all about polymerization.
Take a look at the steps we followed to create our gooey concoction!

(This will make a double batch!)

1.     Measure one cup of water and pour it into the small mixing bowl.

2.   Dump one bottle of glue into the water.

3.   Measure ½ cup of water and using the funnel, pour it into the empty glue bottle.

4.   Shake the bottle and empty it into the bowl.

5.   Dump another bottle of glue into the water.

6.   Measure ½ cup of water and using the funnel, pour it into the empty glue bottle.

7.    Shake the bottle and empty it into the bowl.

8.   Carefully stir the glue and water mixture until it is almost completely smooth.

9.   Add four drops of food color to the bowl.

10.    Add four more drops of food color to the bowl.

11.       Mix the glue, water, and food color mixture until the color is consistent.

12.     Measure one cup of hot water and pour it into the large mixing bowl.

13.     Measure one more cup of hot water and pour it into the large mixing bowl.

14.     Measure one teaspoon of Borax and pour it into the large mixing bowl.

15.     Measure one more teaspoon of Borax and pour it into the large mixing bowl.

16.     Stir the water and Borax mixture until the Borax has completely dissolved.

17.      Slowly and carefully pour the glue and water mixture into the Borax and water mixture.

18.     Scrape out the glue bowl with the spatula.

19.     Slowly and carefully begin stirring the glue, Borax, water mixture. Lift up the spatula every few stirs to show the class what is happening.

20.  Reach into the mixture with your hands! Try pulling it all out and putting it into an empty bowl.

To celebrate 20 days left students enjoyed a bonus recess!

To celebrate 21 days left students played a few rounds of one of our favorite indoor games: Silent Ball!

To celebrate 22 days left we all made, decorated, and wore silly paper hats!

It is hard to believe that there are so few days left in the school year. To help celebrate our final days in third grade, the students are popping balloons to find out what fun activity we will be doing in class each day!
