Take a look at the students' amazing newscasts filmed live on the planet they researched!

Now that the students have viewed each other's films, they will be doing a jigsaw activity to try and persuade their classmates to vote for their planets to win a variety of awards. 

Once the votes are tallied, we will have our culminating activity, an award show called the Solars, which is scheduled for Friday morning. The students are invited to come to school in their formal attire for this student-only red carpet event!

Macy Z.'s Adventures with Little Blue

Little Blue's Big Adventure

On Friday Little Blue came to my house. I invited Katie Neal to come over. We had a dance party and made a video to Katy Perry. My Uncle Tom came to visit my family. He came from Seattle. At night my uncle’s friend came to our house. His name is Swany.  We had pizza. Little Blue had a lot of pizza. On Saturday we went to Zach’s basketball game. It was at Dryden. Later I went to Jessica’s birthday party. Little Blue was dancing at the party.  On Saturday night Little Blue played with JT’s stuffed animals. On Sunday Little Blue and I went to Berry Yo for our party for the end of softball.

Alex's Adventures with Swinger

My Weekend with Swinger

                  Swinger and I had a really fun weekend.  We played video games together on my iPod.  I got a really high score.  Then, Swinger and I had a staring contest and he won!  On Friday, my mom, my brother and I went to Dick’s to buy new basketball shoes.   My feet are bigger than Swinger’s.  On Sunday, I had basketball practice and I took Swinger with me.  He sat with my mom in the bleachers and watched me practice.  I took a picture of him in the car on the way home from basketball.  It was so much fun with Swinger.

Skyping with Mr. Robinson in China!

Today we had the opportunity to Skype with Mr. Robinson who is currently in China. We learned some amazing facts about the Chinese culture and his experiences. The students were eager to ask him questions and hear about his adventures.
