Ag in the Classroom

During our Illinois unit in social studies, a visitor from the Illinois Farm Bureau came to present Ag in the Classroom. This in school field trip taught students about agriculture and agribusiness in Illinois. Students learned about various crops and livestock that are grown and raised on farms throughout our state. They also learned about the process it takes to get a crop from the farm to our dinner plates. They had a chance to explore different types of grains and learned how each are used in products we use and consume each day. What a great experience!
